Providing food is a start to fighting food insecurity but ensuring that the food is nutritious is just as important. Hunger and health are two connected variables. in Eastern Nigeria, underserved families struggle to afford nutritious food. Additionally, the poor families face food insecurity.
Recognizing this issue, Underprivileged Community Development (UCD) hopes to provide nutritious food to the underserved communities in need. Our food supply program addresses hunger in struggling communities, provides nutritious meals and groceries to families in need, helps combat food insecurity, and ensures no one goes to bed hungry.
